Really nice place. Very good business meal. Staff when available were excellent but on a number of occasions had to wave to the bar staff to get a waitress to come and see us. The building used to be the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. It had generous pieces of meat and was tasty but sauce was rather runny and when it's essentially served in a mini soup tureen with a pastry cap (not a real pie in my book) I could have done with a spoon rather than a fork to eat it. The chicken and ham pie was very poor - came in a soup bowl with a flap of pastry on top and impossible to eat except by tipping it all out on the plate - very messy. Not tourists, but only occasional visitors to the Square Mile. Food was excellent, service a little slow. Great for lunches and dinners with friends. Late booking for Christmas but no problem at all - fantastic food, great service - really enjoyed it all. Sadly thats the last time for me at a Browns.
have been here many times - however the last two lunches have been terrible... they do not cook the food fresh as they do not change or adapt for food allergies and do not understand food allergies.


Excellent. We use only the best quality ingredients, and where possible, work with local suppliers. Food was cooked very well and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

The food was passable but obviously preprepared. Does Browns - London Old Jewry offer delivery through OpenTable or takeout? The restaurant/bar was extremely overcrowded, so much so that I would say that there was a possible health and safety hazard. Is Browns - London Old Jewry currently accepting reservations? The restaurant is lovely and the service was great. The prawn and crab linguini is thoroughly recommended.

We had lunch at Browns, table was big and spacious and atmosphere in the venue very Christmassy. It was nice, speedy service reasonable price and friendly staff. Took 20 minutes to get a bottle of wine and 4 hours to have lunch!
