Reviewed in the United States on March 27, 2017, This is a really great older movie. The forced perspective shots of the leprechauns, though, is a treat. Knowing the amazing career that was just around the corner for him, it is fun to see him play this role in a very sweet, winning manner. It's not a badly made movie; it's just "meh."

You're almost there! Reviewed in the United Kingdom on October 9, 2011. It was refreshing to watch Sean Connery act in one of his early films. I have to admit that by the second or third time I saw leprechauns depicted as magical by speeding up the film, I was hoping for someone to show up with a gun. It's incredible, immersive, and adds to the pure charm of the movie. The story of Darby O'Gill and his search for the pot of gold. The man who acted Darby O'Gill was from the Falls Road in Belfast. But soon I realized this was just their weird relationship, and there is a strong respect between them that you see by the end. Regal

It's humourous, yes, but not my era.
