20 januari 2020The preparations are rather simple which is my preference. I love bringing friends from out of town to this NYC institution as it always makes for great memories. He also was very impressed with the architecture and setting.So it was nice to have confirmation from a new comer that the restaurant is as wonderful as I think it is. The service is terrible. The wine list is very good. We have come here many times because we live in the neighborhood. What a great meal! Much lower than our expectations. Service was great. Everything was very good but the noise level was a problem. We ordered a dozen raw oysters as an appetizer but they came out after our entrees. I had ordered a glass of wine myself and literally was about to take a sip of the glass he had set down (thinking maybe he assumed I wanted a second glass,) and he takes it away. Great Oysters!! We really wanted to try it.

Interior is not cosy and not good looking. Hidden Bar in New York City's Grand Central Reopens ... and a casual dress code. Third time I’ve been here and never disappointed. “There’s nowhere like Grand Central for oysters and good dining.” Grand Central then opened in Atré Shinagawa, Tokyo—one of only two in the world. Slow service, waiter no very helpful or interested; friend clams- a signature dish very ordinary- ice cream sundae inedible with icey cream... very disappointing... Friday night date night. Have been going for years (primarily with out oft owners) but it has steadily declined. Love that Times Square Shuttle that makes it easy-peasy before any matinee rain or shine. Make a Reservation at Grand Central Oyster Bar. Fried calamari was undercooked and soggy.. Our waiter placed two glasses of wine down on our table that we didn’t order and he left them there for a good five minutes before realizing they went to another table.
I don't know about the rest of the food but the oysters were GREAT!! Fabulous good. Everything was very good but the noise level was a problem. Phenomenal seafood in a beautiful, classic atmosphere! Good lively place, super building and large range on menu. I couldn’t taste either the lime or cilantro. Our Menu will offer five varieties of the freshest oysters and seafood.
My husband had the oyster pan roast, a legendary dish! They did not have our reservation and I had to show it to them as confirmed on my phone to get a table even though the place was half empty. :-). The best thing about this restaurant is the location and the oysters are also very good. My cocktail was great but I finished it halfway through dinner and had to ask the waiter for another drink and it came towards the end of my dinner.For value - I would say it’s disappointing.

More than any other restaurant ever. Grand Central Oyster Bar & Restaurant Shinagawa does offer delivery in partnership with Uber Eats. I did not get a cracker or a small fork to eat my crab with.
